Health
Anybody entering Egypt from an infected area will require a yellow fever vaccination. In addition to jabs, make sure that you protect your skin from the strong Egyptian sun. The rays are incredibly powerful in this part of the world and we would advise staying out of the sun between Midday and 4pm when the risk is greater.
At all times, make sure you wear a high factor sunblock and drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.
Water supply
Make sure you drink bottled water as the water supply through the taps is not up to the standards that you will be used to. This is one of the greatest causes of illness in Egypt so make sure you are aware.
The same level of care applies when eating things like salads and ice cream. Best avoided if possible.
